Introduction
:
After graduating in chemical engineering from Mumbai
University,the Calcutta born Gandhi moved on to the Detroit to do
his masters and Ph.D.
Career :
In 1967 he joined Ford as a research engineer.He was the man who
has made improvements on the catalytic converter,the basic
component in fuel emission control.
Milestone :
He was the first winner of prestigious 'technological innovation' award instituted
by Discover magazine in 1990.he won that for innovation of
"platinum-free automotive catalyst", used in all Ford cars.
Over the years he won more than 30 patent and bagging 5 Henry Ford
Technological Awards.
