International award totaling about Rs.101.46 lakh for the year 1995-96 were announced by the Lady Tata Memorial Trust In Bombay on June 17, 1995, on the eve of Lady Meherbai Dorabji Tata's death anniversary on June 18. the awards are given annually for study and research in the diseases of the blood with special reference to leukemia. The awardee was Dr.S. Abraham.
